Screen East is pleased to be a partner for Mediabox.
Mediabox is a multi-media fund that offers disadvantaged 13-19 year olds (up to 25 if they have a disability) the opportunity to create media projects and enable young people to gain new skills, express themselves and get their voices heard.
Grants ranging from £500 to £40,000 are on offer for the creation and distribution of youth-led media projects that explore a range of mediums, from photography, film and design to print, radio and computer games.
Big Mediabox ContractBig Mediabox Contract is a large grant that will support organisations to manage and deliver a regional bursary project for disadvantaged young people aged 13-19. The project will enable organisations to distribute funding, of £500-£1000, to individual young people (or young people working in small groups) across the English regions. The funding that the young people receive must be used to take part in and/or develop creative media projects/products. Young people should be encouraged to access funds through a suitable application process devised by the applicant. The successful organisations will be responsible for encouraging and developing applications from young people, managing the project, controlling payments, supporting young people and evaluating and monitoring individual projects.
